ŻOL house II Warsaw II 2021
2021, in progress | Kossowska | 80m2

This is the main story of a house from the 1980s, redesigned to gain a new modern face. The challenge was to coherently adapt the classic and modern furniture of the owners to the new design. The investors, who had come back to Poland after many years abroad, wanted very functional solutions, yet at the same time encouraged me to draw inspiration from various styles: mainly Bauhaus, but also from Spanish or New York styles mixed with art deco elements. The space, designed for a large family, could not be monumental, monochromatic or “homogeneous”, yet on the other hand had to provide a non-intrusive background for a large number of books, memorabilia and household items.
